After an opposition attempt to oust the government of Zoran Zaev failed on Thursday in North Macedonia's parliament, the main ruling Social Democrats, in another twist, said they now expect their wafer-thin majority to be boosted by more MPs.

Tirana has again helped to broker a deal for ethnic Albanian parties outside the country's borders that aims to unite them in elections and maximize their power.

For the first time, the three main ethnic Albanian parties in Montenegro will in run the next general elections in the country as a coalition, in order to get more seats in parliament and so boost the fight for their national rights.
