The Albanian Supreme State Audit, KLSH, said on Wednesday that it was suing energy minister Damian Gjiknuri and state attorney Alma Hicka over the agreement with CEZ, which used to administrate energy distribution in Albania and is 70 per cent owned by the Czech government.

Two Killed in Albania Mine Collapse
The two men, Miftar Losha, 54, and Albert Losha, 35, died in hospital on Sunday after they were severely injured in the collapse at the abandoned mine.
The Ministry of Economy and Industry said on Monday that the mine belonged to a company that had ceased operating more than three years ago.

Albania Arrests Nine Over Health Insurance Fraud
Four officials and five owners and employees of pharmacies accused of stealing 56 million leks (400,000 euro) have been arrested in recent days as the Albanian government faces its biggest corruption scandal since it came to power 18 months ago.
Two similar cases involving suspected fraud of several million euros are also currently under investigation.

Albania objects to plans for hydrocarbons research
The Albanian Foreign Ministry on Friday handed a warning regarding Greece?s plans to search for hydrocarbon reserves in the Ionian Sea to the country?s ambassador in Tirana, Leonidas Rokanas.
The Albanian government?s note verbale claims that the area covered by the research includes parts of the neighboring country?s continental shelf. Athens denies this is the case.
