Afghanistan: IS gunmen dressed as medics kill 30 at Kabul military hospital

More than 30 people have been killed after attackers dressed as doctors stormed the largest military hospital in Kabul, Afghan officials say.
Militants armed with guns and grenades gained entry after one detonated explosives at a hospital gate and then opened fire on staff and patients.

Berlin market attack suspect killed in police shootout in Italy

Italian police shot dead the man believed to be responsible for this week's Berlin Christmas market truck attack, killing him after he pulled a gun on them during a routine check in the early hours of Dec. 23. 

The suspect - 24-year-old Tunisian Anis Amri - travelled to Italy from France, triggering a spate of criticism from eurosceptics over Europe's open-border Schengen pact. 

German minister confirms new suspect in focus in Berlin attack

German Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere confirmed Dec. 21 that authorities have identified a new suspect in the deadly truck attack on a Christmas market in Berlin, one day after the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the attack that killed 12 people.

Manhunt for Berlin Attacker after IS Claims Responsibility

German police are looking for the perpetrator of a lorry attack which left 12 dead in Berlin on Monday.

Security has been beefed up across the city since the incident.

Earlier, a Pakistani national had been arrested as the suspected driber. He was subsequently released, amid reports he had been wrongly targeted.

Islamic State Claims Responsibility for Brussels Attacks

Islamic State (IS) has reportedly claimed responsibility for the terrorist attacks in Brussels on Tuesday.

Egyptian media, cited by TASS news agency, inform that the Islamic militants have claimed responsibility for the attacks in a statement released on Amaq news agency, which is affiliated to the terrorist group.
