British-born Turkish citizen Kate Clow, known as the "discoverer of the Lycian Way," resides in Dodurga, a neighborhood along the historic route in the western province of Muğla's Seydikemer district, where she works to establish new hiking trails.

Rescued Urartian artifacts on display
The Urartian-era bronze, copper and silver artifacts, rescued from smugglers in the eastern province of Ağrı, are exhibited at the Kars Archaeology and Ethnography Museum.
The Urartian artifacts seized in an operation conducted by Ağrı Police Department teams in 2015, were later delivered to the Kars Archaeology and Ethnography Museum.

Turkey Launches Mass Arrests of Alleged ‘Gulenist’ Military Officers

The arrests came after prosecutors in the city of Izmir on Tuesday ordered the detention of 238 serving and former military officers including high-ranking soldiers.
A total of 218 of the suspects are still serving in various branches of the Turkish Armed Forces and Gendarmerie.
The Slovak Parliament Rejected the Istanbul Convention
Slovak MPs rejected Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence. In the 150-seat parliament, 96 of the 113 lawmakers present voted against ratifying the document, known as the Istanbul Convention, the Associated Press reported.
Akar repeats hardline message on drilling; Cyprus takes issue to EU summit
Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar reiterated Sunday the hardline stance on drilling inside Cyprus' Exclusive Economic Stance expressed Saturday by the country's foreign ministry.
Akar told Anadolu News Agency that Ankara is determined to protect its rights in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Aegean Sea under international law.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) on Saturday announced that it has activated the cell crisis in the case of the Romanian citizen who, according to the international media, was abducted in Libya.
MAE told AGERPRES that the cell crisis "has immediately started, under an emergency procedure, to make some verification, in order to determine the situation."
