The approval of $US500 mln to Lockheed Martin for the upgrading of five naval aircraft exposed by Proto Thema on Sunday has raised a number of questions and reactions by Greek opposition parties as well as members of the Radical Left Coalition (SYRIZA) government.
Head of Potami party highly critical of sudden deal for P-3B turbo prop planes
Proto Thema's exclusive reportage on the government's $US500-mln plan to upgrade five of the six P-3B Orian naval aircraft, signed March 15, was sharply criticized on Sunday by centrist Potami leader Stavros Theodorakis.
"200 million euros for dealing with the humanitarian crisis but $500 million for arms," was his characteristic statement.

The Radical Left Coalition government of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras decided to proceed in the first large defense deal in 10 years.
