Turkey has denounced the Armenian army's call for the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, stressing it is against military coups everywhere in the world.

The president of Turkey underscored on Feb. 19 the significance of "unity" in a message sent to the Turkic World Meteorology Forum. 

A joint Turkish and Russian center to monitor a cease-fire deal between Azerbaijan and Armenia will play a significant role in maintaining permanent peace in Upper Karabakh, Turkey's national defense minister said on Feb. 1. 

The Turkish defense minister on Jan. 30 announced the completion of the construction of the Turkish-Russian joint monitoring center in Upper Karabakh, saying it would become operational as of Jan. 30. 

Minister Hulusi Akar told Anadolu Agency that he has discussed matters of defense and security with his Azerbaijani counterpart Zakir Hasanov over the phone.

Turkey on Dec. 18 rejected the resolution on Nagorno-Karabakh adopted by the lower house of Belgian Parliament. 

Responding to a question in writing, the Spokesperson of Turkish Foreign Ministry Hami Aksoy said the resolution 1597 related to Nagorno-Karabakh adopted by Belgium's House of Representative is neither historical nor compatible with facts.

Turkey's Defense Ministry said on Dec. 16 that 136 members of the Special Mine Detection and Clearance Team (OMAT) began clearing mined areas of Upper Karabakh that were liberated from Armenian occupation.  

A Turkish-Russian joint center in Nagorno-Karabakh which will monitor the cease-fire deal between Azerbaijan and Armenia is under construction, according to Turkey's defense minister on Dec. 2. 

Azerbaijan's army has entered the Lachin region following 28 years of occupation by Armenian forces, the country's Defense Ministry announced early on Dec. 1 local time.

Israeli Defense Ministry probes allegation that Azerbaijan asked Aeronautics Defense Systems to demonstrate drone on military target. When the drone operators refused, managers attempted to carry out the test. The company denies the allegation.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry strongly condemned Armenia's howitzer attack on Azerbaijan's Fuzuli region on July 4.
