Kurdish forces to keep territory taken from Syrian govt forces under Qamishli truce
Regional Kurdish security forces will keep territory taken from pro-Syrian government forces during a three-day outbreak of violence in northeastern Syria, a truce document announced on April 24 showed, with both sides to release prisoners taken during the clashes.
Several killed in rare violence between Kurdish and Syrian govt groups
Rare violence erupted on April 21 between Kurdish groups and Syrian government forces in northeast Syria in which several people were killed, a monitoring group said.
Kurdish groups control most of Qamishli city, near the Turkish border, but government forces still hold the airport and a few areas of the centre.

More than 700 Iraqi Kurd fighters killed since June ISIL offensive
Iraq's autonomous Kurdish region said Dec. 10 that 727 of its fighters have been killed in the conflict against the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) since the jihadists launched their offensive in June.
A statement from the region's military forces, known as the peshmerga, said 3,564 members of the Kurdish security forces had also been wounded over the past six months.
