Association of Friends of Monemvasia

The vision of the Ministry of Culture, the Municipality of Monemvasia, and the Peloponnesian Region is to transform Monemvasia into a unified monumental site—an open-air museum that is fully accessible to visitors.

The illumination of the castle town of Monemvasia, southern Greece has divided locals, with some saying the project will highlight the landscape and monuments, while others insist it will alter the area's character and increase its touristification.
