ELAS orders probe into attack on police officers
The Greek Police (ELAS) has ordered an internal investigation into the police's response to Monday's attack on officers by a group of self-styled anarchists outside the Athens Court of First Instance which left three policemen injured.

Four Greek firms accused of EU subsidy fraud
An Athens Court of First Instance prosecutor has brought criminal charges of fraud against four Greek companies believed to have pocketed millions of euros in European Commission subsidies while judicial authorities have asked their counterparts in Brussels to establish whether Commission officials who approved the subsidies also made illicit profits, it emerged on Thursday.

Finance Ministry to appeal court ruling ordering rehire of sacked cleaners
The Finance Ministry said on Thursday that it would appeal a court ruling ordering the temporary rehiring of hundreds of cleaning staff who were suspended eight months ago as part of a civil service overhaul.
Laid off cleaners block entrance to Finance Ministry
Fired Finance Ministry cleaners blocked the entrance to the ministry on Thursday protesting the Greek government's failure to comply with an Athens court decision earlier this month that they be reinstated.
Police are at the scene, but have not intervened.
Court calls for rehiring of 397 sacked Finance Ministry cleaners
An Athens court has accepted an appeal by hundreds of Finance Ministry cleaners who were put into a so-called mobility scheme of forced transfers and dismissals, the womens' lawyer Yiannis Karouzos said on Friday, referring to a "landmark decision."
According to Karouzos, the Athens Court of First Instance upheld the appeal by the 397 workers, ordering that the women be rehired.
