Athens Law School ranks 230 in QS ranking

Quacquarelli Symonds' (QS) global university ranking has placed the Athens Law School among the world's top 300 universities for studying law, a list led by Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, Yale and Stanford.

According to QS, the Greek institution ranks 230th in the world and 109th in Europe.
Athens Law School was also the only one in the country to make the list this year.

Suspects in Athens rampage released from detention

Twelve of the 15 suspects detained over the a rampage in downtown Athens late on Thursday were freed on Friday, as police did not find any incriminating evidence.
The other three people were foreign nationals who were not involved in the rioting but remained detained because they did not hold legal residence permits.

Self-styled anarchists go on rampage in downtown Athens

A group of about 30 self-styled anarchists wielding clubs smashed shop windows at more than a dozen stores in downtown Athens late on Thursday.
According to reports, the vandals had been gathered at the campus of Athens Law School before heading out on their rampage on Voukourestiou and Valaoritou streets.

Appeals council rejects extradition of Turkish 'terror' suspect

A council of appeals court judges in Larissa, central Greece, on Tuesday rejected a request from Turkey for the extradition of Agarmis Burak, an Athens Law School student arrested in November along with another eight Turkish nationals accused by Ankara of being members of the far-left Revolutionary People's Liberation Party-Front (DHKP-C).
