US embassy alerts American citizens over demos
The US Embassy in Greece alerted American citizens about the planned demonstrations on Friday in Athens and Thessaloniki, commemorating the Athens Polytechnic University student uprising against the ruling military junta in 1973.

Three charged with disturbing peace after police raid in Exarchia squats
Three people who were detained on Monday during a police raid in squats in the downtown Athens district of Exarchia were charged with disturbing the peace.
The suspects were identified as two Greek nationals, aged 41 and 57, and a French national, aged 65.
March marking Polytechnic anniversary underway in central Athens
A group of university students heading the annual march marking the anniversary of a bloody 1973 student uprising against the military dictatorship sang the national anthem outside the American Embassy in Athens on Saturday.
The students, carrying a blood-stained Greek flag, chanted slogans, then folded the flag and left.
