Summer sales 2024: Everything consumers need to look out for
Summer sales begin tomorrow, Monday, July 8, which is why the Athens Trade Association has issued recommendations to commercial businesses for the summer sales period.
“The summer discount period starts next Monday and commercial businesses all over the country expect a lot from it,” the President of the Athens Trade Association, Stavros Kafounis, said in a statement.
Athens shops announce extended Easter opening hours
The extended opening hours of shops and stores for the Easter period will start on April 25.
The Athens Trade Association announced the proposed opening hours of Athens shops: from April 25 to Holy Thursday (May 2) from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday, April 28 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m, on Good Friday (May 3) from 1 until 7 p.m. and on Holy Saturday (May 4) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Shopping hours extended ahead of holiday season
As of Tuesday, retail opening hours have been extended so that consumers can do their shopping with greater ease ahead of Christmas.
The Athens Trade Association has proposed the following opening hours for stores in the capital for the 2023 Christmas holidays.

Athens Trade Association proposes Easter shopping hours
In an announcement released on Friday, the Athens Trade Association presented its proposals for the shopping hours during this year’s Easter period.
Specifically, the ATA suggested that the shops remain open from 09.00 a.m. up until 09.00 p.m on Wednesday, April 1 and Friday, April 3.
