Baykar, Azerbaijan sign goodwill protocol
Turkish defense company Baykar Technology and Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry have signed a goodwill protocol for the joint production of unmanned aerial vehicle systems.
Baykar General Manager Haluk Bayraktar and Azerbaijan Deputy Defense Minister Agil Gurbanov on April 27 attended the ceremony and signed the protocol for the production of unmanned aerial vehicle systems.

Azerbaijan and Armenia Renewed Fighting over Nagorno-Karabakh
Another escalation between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region. The fighting was again renewed. According to Yerevan, Azerbaijani troops attacked Armenian positions in three places with artillery and heavy weapons.
However, Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry said the fighting was sparked by a large-scale Armenian sabotage attempt.
Turkish, Azerbaijani defense ministers discuss tension at Armenia border
Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar held a telephone conversation on Nov. 16 with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Zakir Hasanov, to discuss Azerbaijan-Armenia tension.
Hasanov informed Akar about recent tension at the Armenian border, stressing that Armenia's "provocation was prevented," according to a statement by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.
Turkey, Azerbaijan, Pakistan start joint military exercises
Joint military drills between Turkey, Azerbaijan and Pakistan started in Baku on Sept. 12, the first such drills between the three countries.
The "Three Brothers - 2021" exercises kicked off with a solemn opening ceremony. While national anthems of the participating countries were played and their flags raised, a minute of silence was also observed to commemorate their "martyrs".
Azerbaijan, Bulgaria Mull Issues of Military co-op
Azerbaijan's defense minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bulgaria in Azerbaijan Nikolay Yankov, Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry said in a message July 9.

Turkey condemns Armenian attacks against Azerbaijan
Turkey's Foreign Ministry has condemned Armenia for committing "heavy weapon attacks" against Azerbaijan early on Feb. 25 in an attack that killed five Azerbaijani soldiers, according to the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.
The ministry issued a late on Feb. 26, offering condolences to the fallen Azerbaijani soldiers' families and the people of Azerbaijan.
