Turkey and Azerbaijan have launched a joint military drill at the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on June 8, according to Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.

The sides discussed the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation between the two countries

Azerbaijan's Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov on Tuesday met with a delegation headed by Krasimir Karakachanov, Deputy Prime Minister for Public Order and Security and Minister of Defense Bulgaria, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry informed. 

The Turkish Foreign Ministry strongly condemned Armenia's howitzer attack on Azerbaijan's Fuzuli region on July 4.        

The Armenian military has violated the ceasefire along the contact line in Azerbaijan's breakaway region of Nagorno-Karabakh 118 times over the past 24 hours, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said Sunday.

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has cautioned the warring parties in the Nagorno-Karabakh region about taking steps that could derail the region's peace process, his spokesman said Feb. 27.

Turkey's Foreign Ministry has condemned Armenia for committing "heavy weapon attacks" against Azerbaijan early on Feb. 25 in an attack that killed five Azerbaijani soldiers, according to the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.

The ministry issued a late on Feb. 26, offering condolences to the fallen Azerbaijani soldiers' families and the people of Azerbaijan.      

Seven Armenian soldiers were killed in clashes between Azerbaijani and Armenian forces during the last week, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said in a statement on Sept. 5.

The Azerbaijani army has reportedly killed 47 Armenian soldiers in recent clashes, as President Ilham Aliyev visited a frontline zone near the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has extended his condolences to Azerbaijani President İlham Aliyev, two days after 12 Azerbaijani soldiers were killed during clashes on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
