Bulgaria's central bank BNB on Monday adopted a plan for reforming its banking supervision activities which takes into account the conclusions made by the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the country's Audit Office.

Bulgaria's central bank on Friday made public the remuneration packages of its former Governor Ivan Iskrov and his two deputies Kalin Hristov and Dimitar Kostov.

The government nominated on Wednesday the Governor of the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) Dimitar Radev as Governor for Bulgaria in the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Bulgaria's Parliament on Wednesday voted into office the three deputy governors of the central bank BNB proposed by the new BNB head Dimitar Radev, BNT TV channel reported.

The parliamentary Religious Denominations and Human Rights Committee will hold a hearing of the two candidates for ombudsman.

Bulgarian National Bank (BNB)'s Deputy Governor Tsvetan Gounev has been accused of administrative abuse since Tuesday, investigation officials say.

The BNB has confirmed that pre-trial proceedings have been launched against Gounev, who also heads the Banking Supervision Department.
