2008 embassy incident still "burdens U.S.-Serbia relations"
The setting of fire in 2008 to the U.S. embassy building in Belgrade continues to burden the two countries' bilateral relations.
This is what the U.S. embassy announced on Tuesday, reacting to yesterday's ruling of a Belgrade court that overturned the first-instance rulings against the defendants in the case.
Serbian State Security ‘Involved in Killing Journalist’
The former chief of a police task force investigating the 1999 murder of an opposition journalist told a Belgrade court that his probe concluded that State Security was involved in the killing.

Serbian man wanted for hooligan-related death arrested at Athens airport
A Serbian man who was one of more than a dozen suspects convicted in the 2009 murder of a French football fan was arrested at Athens airport, authorities announced on Saturday.
Dejan Puzigaca, 34, was intercepted at Athens’ international airport on Wednesday when he arrived from Thailand via a stopover, police said.

Watchdog organisation Transparency Serbia told BIRN that the Nenadic case will be a good test of the effectiveness of the recently-adopted legislation protecting whisteblowers.
