Bosniak party in Bosnia

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is visiting the Bosnian capital of Sarajevo on July Tuesday and Wednesday to attend the regional Summit of the South-East European Co-operation Process, SEECP.

However, according to agreed protocols, he will also use this visit to meet Bosnian and regional leaders.

The Croatian parliament on Wednesday will discuss a declaration on the rights of Croats living in Bosnia and Herzegovina which calls for changes to Bosnia's constitution and electoral law which it claims will ensure equality for Croats in the country.

Bosnia's embattled ruling coalition, comprising the Party of Democratic Action, SDA, the Croatian Democratic Union, HDZ, the Alliance for Better Future of Bosnia, SBB, and the Serbian Democratic Party, SDS, has lost the support of another two MPs in the state parliament.

Western diplomats criticized the government of Republika Srpska, the Serb-dominated entity of Bosnia, after it suspended cooperation with the country's main court, prosecution and state police on Thursday.

Leaders of the Party of Democratic Action, SDA, the main Bosniak party in Bosnia, on December 18 named Denis Zvizdic as the next president of the Council of Ministers, in effect, Bosnia's next Prime Minister.

Sulejman Tihic, president of Bosnia's largest Bosniak party, the Party of Democratic Action, SDA, died on September 25 in Sarajevo after a years-long fight with cancer.
