Croatia President Denies Insulting Bosnia in Israel

Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, on a three-day visit to Israel, on Wednesday denied calling neighbouring Bosnia and Herzegovina an unstable country taken over by militant Islam and connected to Iran - remarks reported in a Jerusalem Post article that sparked hostile reactions in Bosnia and Herzegovina - and which the newspaper has since deleted.

The Bosnian capital, Sarajevo, hoisted a Turkish flag on Monday to mark the third anniversary of the failed coup in Turkey, just a week after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited the country, when he urged the authorities to extradite suspected followers of the exiled Turkish cleric Fethullah Gulen - who Ankara blames for the coup attempt.

UN Tribunal Chief: Genocide Deniers Should be Prosecuted

UN tribunal chief Carmel Agius told a conference entitled 'Stop Genocide and Holocaust Denial' in Sarajevo on Thursday that denial of genocide is unacceptable and those who do it should be prosecuted.

"We must always respond by strongly condemning those who deny it," Agius said.

"It is time to start a big cultural attack. People who deny genocide must be uncovered," he added.

Dodik Quits High-Level Meeting Over Lack of Serb Flag

Milorad Dodik cancelled the talks on Tuesday after his demand that the flag of Bosnia's Serb-dominated Republika Srpska be placed next to the Bosnian state flag in the meeting room was refused by the other two members of the country's tripartite presidency.

Dodik then demanded that the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina be removed if there was to be no Republika Srpska flag in the room.
