Russia deploys largest air defense ships near Turkish waters

Russian General Staff has deployed one of its largest air defense ships at the foot of Turkish territorial waters in the Mediterranean, in a move to revise security measures after a Russian SU-24 was downed by Turkish aircrafts.

According to Russian RIA Novosti agency, Russian General Staff boosted security measures after the recent incident. 

Obama, Erdo?an agree on the need to de-escalate tension between Turkey and Russia

Turkish and American presidents, Recep Tayyip Erdo?an and Barack Obama, discussed the Turkish Air Forces' downing of a Russian jetfighter during a phone conversation late Nov. 24 and agreed on the need to de-escalate tension between Ankara and Moscow. 

Downed Russian jet violated Turkish air space: NATO

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has said Turkish information over downed Russian jet's air space violation was correct contrary to the Russian claims.

"The allied assessments that we have are consistent with the information we have from Turkey," the NATO chief said after an emergency meeting in Brussels on Nov. 24. 

HDP highlights violence against women in first meeting

The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) has dedicated its first parliamentary group meeting to women's rights during the first term of the national assembly after the Nov. 1 elections.

The meeting, which came only one day before the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, only hosted the party's female deputies and female visitors.
