Bulgarian Coalition Drafts Bill to End Russian Oil Exemption Amid Lukoil Neftochim Impact
The power-sharing coalition comprising GERB-SDS and WCC-DB, supported by DPS, has agreed to terminate Bulgaria's exemption from the EU's ban on exporting derivatives from Russian oil by January 1, 2024, and end the exemption for Russian oil imports by March 1, 2024, as shared by Jordan Tzonev, Chair of the parliamentary Budget and Finance Committee.

"Volya" Won't Support the Deal for the Purchase of the F-16 Aircraft
"Volya" won't support the deal for the purchase of eight F-16 fighters in the plenary, the party's press centre reported. The deal must be submitted for ratification by Parliament by the end of this week.
Volya's deputies will vote against the purchase of fighters in the defense committee scheduled for tomorrow and the Budget and Finance Committee scheduled for Wednesday.

Parliamentary Committee Approves Bulgaria's 2016 Draft Budget
The Budget and Finance Committee of the Bulgarian parliament approved on Monday the draft government budget for next year.
The chairperson of the committee, Menda Stoyanova, proposed the planned cuts to the social benefits of police officers, which had been the cause of large-scale protests across the country earlier in November, to be dropped.

A final vote is due this week on Bulgaria's state budget for 2016 and an overhaul of this year's expenditure.
The Budget and Finance Committee with Parliament on Friday is to vote on funding that is to be spent next year. Separately, money allocated to the national healthcare fund NZOK is also to be put to a vote.
