A Chinese company is to set up a sunflower oil production facility in the industrial zone of Burgas, Bulgaria's Economy Ministry has announced.

The ministry is citing an investment letter of intent between the company and state-owned National Company Industrial Zones, which runs the respective site on the outskirts of the Black Sea port of Burgas.

Korean companies have expressed interest in investing in infrastructure projects in Bulgaria, as well as in the production of electric vehicles and in cheese processing, according to Bulgaria's Economy Ministry.

Bulgaria's Economy Ministry is proposing to increase the fines for fraud at the fuel pump at least 10 times, Economy Minister Bozhidar Lukarski has said.
