Bulgaria's EU Council

Miroslav Borshoch, the former manager of the National Palace of Culture (NDK), has decided not to appear before the parliamentary committee looking into money spending at NDK, he announced on Facebook.

 Bulgaria's national interest calls for an improvement in relations with Macedonia, said Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva and reiterated that she hoped the good neighbor agreement between the two countries will be signed at the beginning of August.

Angel Mitev, who until now led the state-owned company "Restoration", took over the post of Executive Director of the National Palace of Culture after the withdrawal of Miroslav Borshosh from the position, Minister of Culture Boil Banov announced at a special press conference, according to bTV. 

The government has named Nikolay Nenkov as deputy chairman of State Agency for National Security (SANS), the government's press office said.

Nenkov will complete the term of office of Oleg Petkov, who was appointed Deputy Minister for Bulgaria's EU Council presidency 2018.

Nikolay Nenkov is a long-time employee of SANS where he is currently a director.

''The government will disburse BGN 28 million to increase the capital of the National Palace of Culture (NDK)'', the Minister in charge of Bulgaria's EU Council presidency in 2018, Liliyana Pavlova, told journalists.

NDK will host events during the presidency.

''The budget of Bulgaria's EU Council presidency will be updated'', the Minister in charge of the presidency in 2018, Liliyana Pavlova, said before the parliamentary committee of European issues, quoted FOCUS News Agency.

''There will be Europe, it is important in what format, the Minister in charge of Bulgaria's EU Council presidency in 2018'', Liliyana Pavlova, said during a discussion, quoted by  FOCUS News Agency.
