Yellow code for a strong wind has been announced in 16 districts Of Bulgaria, according to the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The warning refers to Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Pleven, Veliko Tarnovo, Targovishte, Rousse, Razgrad, Silistra, Shumen, Dobrich, Varna, Sliven, Stara Zagora, Plovdiv, Pazardzhik.

Today, the Institute for Historical Research - BAS celebrates its 70th anniversary. The anniversary will be solemnly celebrated in the Grand Salon of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences with a scientific conference "Historical science in the face of modern challenges" and a documentary exhibition "70 Years of Lived History".

A sophisticated Ancient Roman gold necklace from the 4th century AD has been discovered by a team of archaeologists excavating the Ancient Thracian, Greek, and Roman city of Heraclea Sintica, the ruins are located near the town of Petrich in Southwest Bulgaria.
