Bulgarian military personnel and colleagues paid their final respects to Lieutenant Colonel Petko Dimitrov and Captain Vencislav Dunkin, who lost their lives in the line of duty on September 13. The farewell ceremony took place at the 12th air base in Dolna Mitropolia, where the two pilots were honored with full military rites.

Bulgaria's Defense Minister Atanas Zapryanov has confirmed that the country has sent self-propelled artillery units "Gvozdika" to Ukraine. He emphasized that these units are no longer needed by the Bulgarian military, which is why additional parliamentary approval was unnecessary.

Bulgarian military personnel will take part in training Ukrainian military forces within NATO member countries, as decided by the ministers of the "Glavchev" office.

NATO Secretary General emphasized Bulgaria's role as a reliable and highly valued ally within the alliance. He highlighted Bulgaria's contributions to collective defense, noting its strategic importance, particularly as a Black Sea country hosting a NATO battle group.

Bulgaria is embarking on the production of kamikaze drones, which will be priced at BGN 2,000 each and have the capability to destroy tanks valued at 10-15 million euros, according to Kalin Dimitrov, the executive director of a Ministry of Defense company, as reported in an interview with the Bulgarian Army newspaper.

In a recent interview with bTV, Defense Chief Emil Eftimov addressed concerns about the presence of anti-NATO sentiments within the Bulgarian military, stating unequivocally, "I wouldn't say that there are anti-NATO sentiments in the army."

The leaders of GERB Boyko Borissov and DPS Delyan Peevski demanded the replacement of the Minister of Defense Todor Tagarev. The reason - is the delay in delivery of the armored personnel carriers to Ukraine.

"Businesses are running, people are safe. We have taken absolutely all measures, on the part of the state, the local authorities, the management of the specific enterprises, so that we can be sure that people are safe and the Bulgarian industry will not be affected by such types of raids". This is what the Minister of Economy, Bogdan Bogdanov, said today.

The Macedonian border police did not allow the entry into the country of the Bulgarian MEP from GERB Andrey Kovachev, the deputy chairman of the EPP, Milen Vrabevski, as well as three other Bulgarians. All of them, as every year on May 6, traveled to participate in the memorial service at the Bulgarian military cemetery in Novo Selo, Strumica.

Economy Minister Nikola Stoyanov said that the state-owned weapons enterprise VMZ-Sopot can produce 155mm projectiles, which the EU plans to supply to Ukraine. However, according to Stoyanov, we are talking about experimental and not serial production of such ammunition in Bulgaria.
