We are Celebrating the European Day without Victims on the Road
For the fourth consecutive year, Europe is celebrating ''European Day Without A Road Death'. It is organized by the European Road Police Services Network and is part of the Mobility Week.
Its aim is to minimize road accident victims and make drivers think more about safety.
Mountain Rescuers were Looking for a Missing Person in Pirin
Mountain rescuers were searching for a lost person in the Pirin Mountain, the Bansko Regional Rescue Base (PSS) reported to the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC).
The lost tourist in the Pirin was found in good health in the afternoon, BTA from the Mountain Rescue Service (PSS) in Bansko reported.
Bulgarians in Need Received over 32 Tons of Food Products under European Programs
More than 32,000 tons of food products have been implemented in the three up-to-date support campaigns provided under the Operational Program for Food and / or Basic Material Assistance from the European Support Fund for the Most Deprived Persons (FPEN), the Agency for Social Services assistance.

The Mountain Rescue Service (PSS) at the Bulgarian Red Cross warns all mountain lovers to avoid camping and taking walks in the mountains, especially in the high places. Tourists must keep track of the weather forecast, to be well-equipped, to observe the pre-specified route and to carry charged mobile phones, reminded the Mountain Rescue Service.
Today Is the World Blood Donor Day
On the occasion of the World Blood Donor Day - June 14, the Bulgarian Red Cross and the National Center for Clinical and Transfusion Hematology (NCTH) will award the long-time voluntary and gratuitous blood donors with honorary plaques. They were nominated by a commission involving representatives of the two institutions, based on proposals from across the country.

Yesterday Bulgarian Mountain Rescue Service Conducted Operation to Rescue 3 Tourists Stranded on Botev Peak
Teams of the Kalofer Mountain Rescue Service conducted an operation to take down three people stranded on Botev peak, the Mountain Rescue Service with the Bulgarian Red Cross told Focus News Agency. The people were suffering from cold and exhaustion, the rescuers said. The three Bulgarian citizens were supported down by the rescue teams. They are now in good condition.
The Conditions for Mountain Tourism Are Bad
The conditions for hiking in the mountains are bad, announced the Mountain Rescue Service at the Bulgarian Red Cross. In the high parts of the mountains it is misty with a weak wind. Temperatures are between 5 and 10 degrees. Lift facilities in resorts don't work. There are no recorded tourist incidents over the past 24 hours.

Balloon with Tourists got Stuck in Rocks in the Bulgarian Rhodopes
A group of tourists flying on a balloon got stuck between rocks in the Rhodopes around 20:30 on Thursday, announced the Mountain Rescue Service at the Bulgarian Red Cross.
No one got injured in the incident. Tourists have been rescued by Civil Protection.
The accident occurred in the area of Ustina village, in the area known as the "Tower".
