Bulgarian Authorities: No Involvement in Import or Export of Devices Used in Middle East Attacks

Bulgaria Expels 95 Foreigners on Security Grounds in 2018

The Bulgarian State Agency for National Security (SANS), the country's counterintelligence and counterterrorism service, deported 95 foreigners in 2018, according to its annual report released on Thursday, reports Xinhua. 

Fifteen of those expelled were associated with terrorist activities, the report said.

Court Releases One Arrested for US Card Fraud, Other Stays Locked Up

One of the two Bulgarians arrested in Bulgaria for card fraud in the US, remains in custody, the other is released under home arrest, ruled the Sofia City Court. 

Mihail Petrov was released because he suffers from cerebral palsy and has clean police record, while Radoslav Pavlov is in good health and, though he also has clean record, will remain in custody for at least 60 days. 

Bulgarians Busted for Credit Card Fraud in USA

Sixteen Bulgarians have been arrested during a special FBI operation in the United States for money laundering and credit card fraud worth millions of dollars.

Around 30 people were arrested in Chicago and its suburbs as a part of a special operation to crack down on an organized crime group, the Bulgarian International Television (BIT) reported, cited by Dir.bg.
