2018 Tax Filing Season in Bulgaria Began on January 10

Bulgaria's National Revenue Agency (NRA) starts accepting tax returns for 2018 on 10th of January, reports BNT. 

Individuals and companies can submit tax returns electronically and on hard copies at the relevant NRA offices.

NRA reminds taxpayers that if the tax returns are submitted by 31st of January, there will be a discount of 5% on the tax owed.

First Investment Bank Buys Major Portion of Assets of Bulgaria’s Remotex-Radnevo

First Investment Bank (Fibank) has paid BGN 8,893 M at an auction to acquire the main part of the assets of bankrupt machine building company Remotex-Radnevo.

Fibank now be able to get back around half of the loan of nearly BGN 16 M which it provided to the company for the repair of heavy mining equipment.

BGN 470M Rental Income Declared in 2014 – NRA

Rental income declared in Bulgaria's National Revenue Agency in 2014 has increased by BGN 19M compared with the previous year.

There has been a positive tendency for an increase of the declared income from rents in the last three years, according to the data from the annual personal income tax returns for 2013, Nova TV informs.

Bulgarian NRA to Carry Out Large-Scale Food Market Inspections

Bulgaria's National Revenue Agency and the Food Safety Agency will carry out large-scale inspections of food markets throughout the country.

Check-ups will be conducted until the end of the year, as the aim is to tighten control on the unauthorized import of fruits, vegetables and foods of animal origin, Darik news reports.
