Turkish business body re-elects Kaslowski as president

The Turkish Industry and Business Association (TUSIAD) re-elected Simone Kaslowski as its president on March 30. 

He has been heading TUSIAD since February 2020 after replacing Erol Bilecik.

Kaslowski is the CEO of Organik Kimya, a chemicals company.

Murat Özyeğin and Bahadir Balkır are the vice presidents of the association.

Closed catering facilities: At the last moment, a big change of measures

On the recommendation of the Crisis Staff, the Government adopted that restaurants and cafes be open until 6 pm on December 31 and January 1, while grocery stores will be open until 8 pm.
However, although the catering facilities are open until 6 pm, music is allowed until 5 pm.

Turkey lags behind in STEM policies

The executive board chairman of the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD), Erol Bilecik, has drawn attention to slackness in Turkey's STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) system. "We expect that in 2013, employment will reach up to 34 million and 3.5 million of this will be STEM employments.

MÜSİAD EXPO opens in Istanbul with key focus on Africa

The 16th MÜSİAD EXPO opened on Nov. 9 in Istanbul, where thousands of businesspeople and investors from all over the world will explore new cooperation and partnership opportunities.

The expo will host in eight halls, 700 companies and 200,000 visitors from over 100 countries, according to the Independent Industrial and Business Association (MÜSİAD).
