NBA star proposes marriage to actress at Cappadocia
Prominent Turkish basketball player Cedi Osman, who plays for Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA, has proposed marriage to his year-long girlfriend, Ebru Şahin, at Cappadocia, the ancient region in Central Anatolia, famous for its fairy chimneys.
"I said yes," wrote the actress on her social media account, uploading a photo of them backdropped by the hot air balloons rising in the air.

Turkey vows to bring in more star players in sports
Turkey has been focusing on a policy to produce many more star players in sports branches including football and basketball.
Turkish Youth and Sports Minister Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu said late on May 39 that Turkey should profit its massive young population, which is 20 million, to bring in many successful athletes like NBA player Cedi Osman.
Turkish cultural center inks deal with NBA team
Turkey's state-run cultural agency Yunus Emre Institute announced on Jan. 29 that it has signed a deal with NBA team Cleveland Cavaliers to promote Turkish culture.
"We are truly honored to sign an agreement with Cleveland Cavaliers @cavs in terms of promoting Turkish culture," Halid Bulut, director of Yunus Emre's Washington D.C. office, said on Twitter.

'Prayers with you': NBA remembers Turkey quake victims
NBA in a game on Jan. 29 between Cleveland Cavaliers and New Orleans Pelicans commemorated the victims of a recent deadly earthquake in Turkey.
Electronic billboards displayed: "Our Prayers are with you Elazığ and Malatya", referring to the eastern provinces of Turkey where a 6.8-magnitude quake claimed 41 lives and injured more than a thousand others.

Blatt leaves Olympiacos 2 months after illness announcement
Former Cleveland Cavaliers coach David Blatt has left his post as coach of Greek club Olympiacos two months after announcing he had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
In a statement on the club website, Blatt says "after a long and respectful discussion between the owners and myself, our two parties have decided it's in the best interest of both sides to part ways."
