Coalition for Family

The Coalition for Family (CpF) accuses the "trivial and unprofessional" way the referendum for the revision of the Constitution was organised and asserts that "the PSD boycott at the level of the entire country" proves the falseness of the statements that the boycott belonged to this party (Social Democratic Party, ed. n.) and to Liviu Dragnea (PSD national leader, ed. n.).

The steps referring to the revision of the fundamental law regarding the family are 'a necessary gesture for the long-term health of the Romanian society', and yet they go 'against the European trend', the Social-Democrat Senator Titus Corlatean asserted on Thursday.

Romania's lower chamber of parliament is to vote on Tuesday on a controversial constitutional amendment that modifies the definition of family to describe it as an institution based on a "consensual marriage between a man and a woman".
