Committee adopts 2018 budget bill
BELGRADE - The parliamentary Committee on Finance on Monday unanimously adopted in principle the 2018 budget bill, which envisions revenues of 1,178 bln dinars and expenditures of 1,207 bln dinars.
The planned national fiscal deficit for 2018 is 0.6 pct of GDP, or 28.4 bln dinars, which is 40.7 bln dinars below the deficit planned in the 2017 budget.

Grey Economy Costing Serbia Dear, Expert Says

Parliament's committee adopts seven finance-related bills
BELGRADE - The Serbian parliament's Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending adopted a set of seven new bills aimed at improving the situation in the financial sector on Thursday.
Budget anticipates 27,000 people less in public sector
BELGRADE - President of the Fiscal Council Pavle Petrovic said Monday that the Serbian government's proposal for the 2015 budget envisaged reducing the number of employees in the public sector by about five percent or about 27,000 employees.

Arsic appointed chair of Finance Committee
BELGRADE - MP of the Serbian Progressive Party Veroljub Arsic was appointed chair of the Serbian Parliament Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending on Friday, while caucus whip of the Democratic Party (DS) Dragan Djilas assumed office as the committee's deputy chair.
