Athens now has its own Chinese School of Classical Studies, following its inauguration on Thursday in a ceremony attended by Chinese and Greek officials, including Zhao Leji, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), who is visiting Greece.

President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, welcomed Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China, at the presidential mansion. The meeting was part of Leji's official visit to Greece, following an invitation by the President of the Hellenic Parliament, Konstantinos Tassoulas.
