Deutsche Bank fined for currency manipulation
Deutsche Bank AG is expected to be fined by the Federal Reserve and New York’s Department of Financial Services for its conduct in the foreign exchange market, a person familiar with the matter said.
The German lender said Monday that the U.S. Justice Department had closed a criminal inquiry into its currency-trading activities without action.

Bitcoin to be classed as a commodity in the US
Bitcoin, a virtual currency that allows users to exchange online credits for goods and services, will now be classed as a commodity in the U.S. along with gold and oil, according to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
This decision follows a clampdown on unregistered firms which trade derivatives of the crypto-currency.
