Xeros gives 'political statement' rather than testimony over prison break plan
Convicted November 17 terrorist Christodoulos Xeros on Friday opted to give a ?political statement? in an appearance before an investigating magistrate rather than offer an explanation regarding his alleged involvement in a thwarted plan to help members of the Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire guerrilla group escape from maximum-security Korydallos Prison last December.

He was ordered to face a magistrate on June 5.

Two more arrested over terrorist jailbreak plot
The anti-terrorism squad arrested two people on Thursday as part of its ongoing investigation into an alleged plan to help members of the urban guerrilla group Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire escape from jail.
Officers arrested a 27-year-old man, thought to be an Albanian national, and his 24-year-old wife.

Suspect won't post bail unless convict's girlfriend is freed
The mother of two convicted members of guerrilla group Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire, Christos and Gerasimos Tsakalos, refused on Wednesday to post the 10,000-euro bail payment that would secure her conditional release, saying she would only pay if the girlfriend of one of her two sons is also released from pretrial custody.

Police find Xeros's bomb-testing spot
Counterterrorism officers investigating the apparent links between November 17 convict Christodoulos Xeros and jailed members of Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire believe a plot of land in Neo Peramo, close to Elefsina, served as a bomb-testing area for members of guerrilla groups.
