Police on alert after parcel bomb injures ex PM Lucas Papademos
Counterterrorism police were on alert on Thursday after former prime minister Lucas Papademos was injured, along with two other people, when a parcel bomb exploded in his car in central Athens.
The explosion occurred at around 6.30 p.m. when Papademos opened an envelope in his car, police said.
ISIL suspect asks reporters 'Am I handsome?' after detention in Konya
An Islamic State Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) suspect detained in the Central Anatolian province of Konya raised eyebrows with his interesting question to reporters en route to police headquarters on Dec. 16, asking: "Am I handsome?"
Counterterrorism police in Konya had raided 43 different addresses and detained 33 suspects over alleged links to ISIL, Doğan News Agency has reported.

Turkish police have detained 20 suspects in an operation against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in Turkey's southern Antalya province, a week before the start of a G-20 summit in the same province.
Counterterrorism police launched simultaneous operations in central Antalya, as well as the city's Alanya and Manavgat districts, early on Nov 6.
