Ukraine has taken a significant step to protect national security by banning the use of the Telegram messaging app on state-issued devices for government and military officials. This decision follows growing concerns over Russian surveillance capabilities.

Russia's Defense Ministry said it "continued to retaliate" for Ukraine's attack on buildings in Crimea, targeting targets in the Black Sea ports of Odessa and Nikolaev.
On the other hand, Washington strongly condemned the Russian attacks, pointing out that Moscow plans to target civilian ships as well.

The Russians have been trying to conquer this city of Ukraine since July last year.
The report stated that Russian forces "very likely entered the center of Bakhmut and occupied the western bank of the Bakhmutka River". Intelligence officials point out that "it is likely that a key Ukrainian supply route west of the city is seriously compromised."

"Ukrainian offensive operations continue to place pressure on Russian forces both in the north-east and in the Kherson region in the south. However, Russia continues to give high priority to its own offensive operations in the central Donbas sector, especially near the town of Bakhmut", the report specifies.

The Ministry announced this on the Twitter social network as part of the daily intelligence assessment of the situation.
This announcement comes after the advance of Ukrainian forces.

"Despite the war in Ukraine, on September 1, the Russian military started exercise Vostok 22, its Annual Joint Strategic Exercise, marking the culmination of the military training year", British Ministry wrote on Twitter.

In its latest report today, the Ministry noted that "it is unlikely that Russia was expecting such a "strong resistance" or "such an exhausting conflict".

"The main road to northern Donetsk is likely to remain under Ukrainian control, but Russia continues to achieve stable local wins. However, Russian forces have also suffered losses in the process," the ministry said in its latest intelligence report.
