Kosovo Opposition Fails to Create United Front
Opposition leaders from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Nisma and the Vetevendosje Movement failed on Monday to reach a deal aimed at stopping outgoing Prime Minister Hashim Thaci, head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, from forming the next government.

New Kosovo Parliament to Convene for First Time
Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga said on Monday that the recently-elected legislature should convene for the first time on July 17 so she can “submit to parliament the proposal for the new prime minister nominate to parliament”.

Kosovo to Recount Ballots in 51 Polling Stations
“The Counting and Results Center will start to recount ballots in these 51 polling stations today,” the CEC announced on Tuesday.
The decision came after the Elections Complaints and Appeals Panel ordered the CEC to do the recount.

PRIŠTINA -- Kosovo's Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced the final results of the early June snap parliamentary elections.
A coalition led by Hashim Thaci’s Democratic Party of Kosovo has won 37 seats in the new assembly in Priština, while Serbs will have ten deputies.

PRISTINA - Kosovo's Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced the final results of the early June snap parliamentary elections in Kosovo-Metohija, according to which most seats in the new session of the provincial assembly, 37, go to a coalition led by Hasim Taci’s Democratic Party of Kosovo, and Serbs will have 10 members to represent them.

Amid simmering political tensions in Kosovo, the presidency announced on Thursday that Jahjaga had addressed the court for advice to “clarify the constitutional action of the president” in nominating a new prime minister, who will then form the next government.
