The outcome of their appeal was successful for 30% of taxpayers who challenged decisions by the tax administration between January and July, according to data from the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE).

Tax Office: New out-of-court settlement procedure begins today – Who gets up to a 50% reduction in fines
The tax office offers the opportunity for those who have committed tax violations to reduce the fines imposed on them by up to 50%. However, to secure a reduction in the fines, they must pay 25% of the assessed amount within three days after the settlement.
Unexplained parental gifts
The tax administration has identified thousands of cases of parental benefits with money from the mattress.
That is, parents deposited cash into their children's bank accounts, while the legislation explicitly states that parental benefits must be made by bank transfer or bank check. In all these cases the tax office assessed a tax of 10%.

Who can dispute the tax on the self-employed
Only in cases where someone is hospitalized, unemployed, studying or imprisoned will the presumptive income announced by the government be contested. This figure starts from the amount of 10,920 euros and reaches up to €14,196.
