110 PKK/KCK suspects nabbed in 21 provinces

A total of 126 PKK/KCK suspects have been caught in the Diyarbakır-based operations carried out in 20 other provinces for providing financial and propaganda support to the organization.

The operations came after the teams learned that the suspects provided personnel and legal support to the terrorist organization and carried out nearly 60 street protests.

Court rules for continuation of arrest of HDP co-chair Demirtaş

A court in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır ruled for the continuation of the arrest of Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş on April 5. 

The Diyarbakır Eighth Heavy Penal Court ruled for Demirtaş to remain in jail, where he is held on several charges including "managing a terrorist organization."

Man killed in Turkey's southeast at Nevruz suspected of being suicide bomber: Governor's office

The governor's office in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır has released a statement regarding the killing of a man who attempted to enter a square where Nevruz celebrations were occurring, saying he was suspected of being a suicide bomber. 

The unidentified man was shot and killed by police after allegedly trying to enter the area with a knife on March 21. 

Opposition HDP lawmakers arrested in Turkey

Opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) lawmakers from the eastern province of Kars and southern province of Adana were arrested on Jan. 31, becoming the latest members of Turkey's third-largest party to be incarcerated.  

HDP Adana lawmaker Meral Danış Beştaş and Kars lawmaker and the party spokesperson Ayhan Bilgen were arrested as part of a terror probe.
