The report cites an article published several days earlier by one of the best-known and respected Egyptian and Arab journalists Abdel Latif El Menawy. The article in the daily Al-Masry Al-Youm was published under the headline, "Is it time to reexamine the (Muslim) Brotherhood's decision?".

A 3-year-old Egyptian boy has been sentenced to life in prison for a crime he allegedly committed when he was 16 months old, CNN International reported on Feb. 23. 

In what appears to be a bizarre case of mistaken identity, a military court Feb. 16 found Ahmed Mansour Qorany Sharara - and 115 others - guilty of killing three people and sabotaging public and private property.

Egypt launches air strikes in response to execution of Copts

CAIRO -- The Egyptian Air Force overnight attacked multiple targets of the Islamic State in Libya in response to the killing of 21 Egyptian Copts.

Egyptian authorities said in a statement this morning that the attacks targeted IS camps, training grounds and weapons storage facilities in Derna, Libya.

Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas said he supported Egypt's crackdown on tunnels linking the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip to the Sinai Peninsula and any other action the country took to protect itself from militants, according to a media report Dec. 11.
      

Main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is “holding the reins of” Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu.
