WHO: No COVID-19 Vaccination Document should be Required when Traveling
The World Health Organization's (WHO) Emergency Committee said proof of vaccination against COVID-19 should not be required for international travel, as this would limit global access due to the unfair distribution of vaccines.
There is New Ebola Case in DRC
A new case of Ebola virus disease was confirmed in the city of Beni in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
"While not welcome news, this is an event we anticipated. We kept response teams in Beni and other high risk areas for precisely this reason," said Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General.

WHO declares China virus outbreak an international emergency
The World Health Organization declared on Thursday that the coronavirus epidemic in China now constitutes a public health emergency of international concern.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO director-general, announced the decision after a meeting of its Emergency Committee, an independent panel of experts, amid mounting evidence of the virus spreading to some 18 countries.
China virus toll rises to 170 as countries isolate citizens to stop global spread
Several countries began isolating hundreds of citizens evacuated from the Chinese city of Wuhan in an effort to stop the global spread of an epidemic which has killed 170, with South Korea calling for calm in the face of protests at a quarantine center.
Asian stocks and currencies fell on Jan. 30 as fatalities rose and more cases were reported around the world.
The WHO Won't Declare an International Emergency because of the Coronavirus from China
The World Health Organisation said on Wednesday that it will delay deciding whether to label the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus an international emergency, as the United Nations agency seeks more information from China, South China Morning Post reported.
"There was an excellent discussion during the committee today, but it was also clear that to proceed, we need more information.
Albania Braces for Fifth Day of Severe Floods
Albania on Monday faced a fifth day of severe floods, which have forced 600 families from their homes and left more than 4,700 households suffering flood-related damaged.
No new deaths as a result of floods have been reported since an electrician from Albania's state-owned energy company, OSHEE, lost his life while trying to restore power connections.

WHO Declares Zika Virus as Public Health Emergency of International Concern
The World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Margaret Chan declared on Monday that the Zika virus constitutes a Public Health Emergency of International Concern.
Chan had convened an Emergency Committee to collect advice on the severity of the health threat associated with the continuing spread of Zika virus disease in Latin America and the Caribbean.
