High interest rates are a tool of exploitation, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on May 24, adding that he would ensure the issue is kept on the agenda. 

Some 232,085 new jobs were created across Turkey in February after the government started a campaign to boost employment, a top official announced on March 3. 

Some 103,000 new jobs were created in Turkey between Feb. 1 and 20 after the government started a campaign to boost employment, according to sources from the Labor and Social Security Ministry. 

This figure is expected to hit 150,000 by the end of the month, sources told daily Hürriyet on Feb. 23. 

Turkey's unemployment rate will fall to single digit figures by the end of 2017 thanks to a number of plans to boost employment, Labor and Social Security Minister Mehmet Müezzinoğlu has claimed.
