Earthquake shakes eastern Turkey, no casualties reported
An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 struck eastern Turkey's Malatya province on Wednesday, the country's disaster and emergency management authority (AFAD) said, adding that there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
AFAD said the quake occurred at 10.46 a.m.(0746 GMT) with its epicentre in the district of Kale, some 40 km (25 miles) east of the city of Malatya.
Mild tremor jolts Ilia region
A tremor measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale was recorded at approximately 6.55 a.m. on Wednesday morning in the Ilia region of the Peloponnese.
According to the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, the epicenter was located in the sea, 28 kilometers south-southwest of Pyrgos, with a depth of 16 kilometers.

Around nine aftershocks hit moments later, with the strongest one registering a magnitude of 4.6. Local authorities reported a man was crushed when a church dome in the town of Arkalochori collapsed. They said that he had been renovating the church when the earthquake rattled the island.

An earthquake struck south of the Greek island of Crete on May 2, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said but there were no reports of casualties or damage.
The magnitude 5.9 quake was at a relatively shallow depth of 10 km (6 miles), EMSC said. The center first reported the quake at a strong 6.5 magnitude.

3.1-Magnitude Earthquake Registered in Western Bulgaria
A 3.1-magnitude earthquake was reported in western Bulgaria on Friday morning.
The quake struck at 6.41 am, its epicenter was 60km south of Sofia and 16km south of Samokov and its depth was 2km, according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre, as cited by Sega daily.
