Eurozone Growth Slows Sharply to 1.8% in 2018
Growth in the eurozone slowed sharply to 1.8 percent in 2018, data showed Thursday, as a recovery ran out of steam on worries over the US-China trade war and Brexit, reports AFP.
The economy expanded by a comparatively booming 2.4 percent in 2017.

Organic Farming Booms in Bulgaria and Croatia
Bulgaria and Croatia are the EU member states with highest growing organic farming sectors in the 28-nation bloc, the latest data from the European Statistics Agency, Eurostat, show.
While the total area of organic production in the EU-28 from 2012 to 2016 grew by 18.7 per cent, in Bulgaria, the growth rate was over 310 per cent, and in Croatia it was 193.4 per cent.

Croatia Relies Too Much on Tourism, Economist Warns
Although Croatia is proud of its booming tourism industry, some analysts are warning that relying on one sector of the economy is potentially risky.
According to the EU statistic's agency, Eurostat, Croatia had 86.1 million overnight stays in 2017, as tourism grew by 10.6 per cent in comparison to 2016.
Europe's recovery strengthens, unemployment at 8-year low
Europe's economic recovery is strengthening with unemployment in the eurozone dropping in June to its lowest since February 2009, according to official figures released on July 31.
The jobless rate of 9.1 percent was better than predicted by analysts and will boost confidence that the 19-nation single currency area's pick-up is gathering steam after the financial crisis.
Eurozone unemployment rate edges down further
The unemployment rate in the 19-country eurozone edged down further in October, to 9.8 percent from 9.9 percent the previous month.
Statistics agency Eurostat said Thursday that the number of people out of work fell by 178,000 over the month.

Squabbles Over Data Put Bosnian Census at Risk
Members of the three statistical agencies of Bosnia, the state agency and those of the two entities, have been unable to agree on the methodology to elaborate the results of the coungtry's first post-war census, raising fears that publication might not be possible by the July 1 legal deadline.
