French Embassy: Romanian specialists - awarded Palmes Academiques Order
Several Romanian specialists in different fields were decorated in a ceremony with the Palmes Academiques Order by the Ambassador of France in Bucharest, Michele Ramis. According to a press release from the French Embassy sent to AGERPRES, the Palmes Academiques Order in the rank of Knight was awarded to Alexandru Aldea, Manuela Delia Anghel, Ionela Baluta, Sonia Berbinschi, and Janos Torok.
Romania ranks 5th at Robotics European Championship
The three teams of students and professors with the Faculty of Engineering of the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu (ULBS) have ranked fifth, the best result of Romania in the history of participations in the Robotics European Championship - EUROBOT Robomovies 2015, which took place over May 21 - 24 in Yverdon-les-Bains (Switzerland), according to a release sent AGERPRES on Tuesday.
Albania Students Block Campus in Tuition Fee Row
Students blocked the main entrance of the university campus in Tirana's Mother Teresa Square, refusing to let in academics or workers and preventing lessons from taking place on Monday.
Chanting "We are students, not customers," the students said the "occupation" was a response to a government decision on October 15th, which raised tuition fees.

University faculty infested by mice, says academic
The head of one of the key faculties at Thessalonikis Aristotle University has written to the institutions rector to complain about the dire state of the premises, which he described as overrun with mice and scorpions due to inadequate cleaning staff that have left the toilets basically nonfunctional.
