President Iohannis decorates Romanian medal winners of Tokyo Olympic Games
President Klaus Iohannis decorated the nine Romanian athletes who have won medals in the Tokyo Olympic Games, during a ceremony that took place, on Wednesday, at the Cotroceni Palace.

Painter Vladimir Zamfirescu has died at 84
Painter Vladimir Zamfirescu has died on Monday evening, aged 84. He will be buried on Thursday at the Bellu Catholic Cemetery. "The National Museum of Romanian Literature (MNLR) with great sadness announces the demise on June 1, 2020, of painter Vladimir Zamfirescu, a great personality of the Romanian and European contemporary art," reads a post on the MNLR Website.

Director Alexandru Darie has passed away
Director Alexandru Darie, son of late actors Iurie Darie and Consuela Rosu, has passed away Wednesday afternoon, at the Fundeni Clinical Institute, medical sources told AGERPRES. Alexandru Darie, former managing director of Bucharest's Lucia Sturdza Bulandra Theatre, was admitted to the hospital two weeks ago with liver issues, the medical sources added.
