Fethullah Terror Organization

Turkish authorities are investigating foster families for suspected ties to a failed coup and may remove children from homes if their guardians are found to be supporters of the putsch, a government official has said. 

The arrested Turkish justice of the U.N.'s Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals (MICT), Aydın Sefa Akay, has denied accusations that he has ties to the Gülen movement, saying that in fact he is a Freemason. 

Three more prosecutors have been assigned to the probe in which daily Cumhuriyet columnists and executives are accused of having links to terror organizations, amid official confirmation that the original prosecutor of the investigation is currently under trial over links to the Gülen movement, widely believed to be behind July 15 coup attempt.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Oct. 19 listed the movement of U.S.-based Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen, believed to be behind Turkey's July 15 coup attempt, as a terrorist organization, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has said.

Pro-government daily Sabah claimed on Oct. 4 that a detainee with alleged links to the Gülen movement has testified that Gülenists were informed through a mobile chat system about the deadly Ankara train station attack of Oct. 10, 2015, one day before it was carried out. 

Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım has slammed the Moody's decision to downgrade Turkey's credit rating at a moment when the Turkish economy is growing. 

An indictment accusing 54 judges and prosecutors of staging a conspiracy during the "Selam Tevhid" investigation, an alleged terror group formed to justify the wiretapping and investigations by the "Fethullah Terror Organization/Parallel State Structure" have been prepared.
