Turkish economy grows 7.3 percent in first quarter
Turkey's economy grew by 7.3 percent in the first quarter of 2022 from a year ago, data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) showed on May 31.
The first-quarter growth was in line with economists' expectations.

Turkey appoints 2 new deputy ministers
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan appointed new deputy ministers on July 14.
Fatma Öncü was appointed as deputy minister to the Family and Social Services Ministry.
Mehmet Hamdi Yıldırım was appointed to the Finance and Treasury Ministry.
The announcement was published in the Official Gazette.
