Financial committee discusses expanding use of TROY
The Financial Stability Committee discussed steps to be taken regarding the wider use of the Turkish payments system TROY, according to a statement released after the committee's meeting. The committee convened on Oct. 27, chaired by Treasury and Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati.
Economic reforms aim to draw delayed investment: Finance minister

Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDKK) head Mehmet Ali Akben has said a Chinese lender has shown interest in taking a banking license in Turkey.
He noted a high-level delegation from the Bank of China will visit officials from Turkey?s banking watchdog on Sept. 10.
Industrial production up in June
Turkish industrial production was up sharply in June, as manufacturing and energy output surged, the Turkish Statistical Institute reported on Aug. 7.
Industrial production increased 5.5 percent in June, compared with the same month last year, the report said. Production was also up 2.4 percent from May 2015.
