FM Logar paying first official visit to Croatia on Friday
Ljubljana – Foreign Minister Anže Logar has announced that he will pay his first official visit to Croatia on Friday, with the topics of talks to include the intention by Croatia and Italy to declare exclusive economic zones (EEZ) in the Adriatic Sea.
Committee backs Koper rail project talks with Hungary
Ljubljana – The parliamentary Foreign Policy Committee gave the Infrastructure Ministry the green light to launch negotiations with Hungary on the neighbouring country’s participation in the Koper-Divača rail investment, the committee’s chair Monika Gregorčič told the press after Wednesday’s closed-door session.
Logar to meet Italian colleague on-line, visit Vatican Friday
Ljubljana – Foreign Minister Anže Logar is expected to hold talks with his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio on Thursday, although virtually and not in-person as was originally scheduled, as Di Maio is self-isolating. Logar will nevertheless travel to Rome, as he is also scheduled to visit the Holy See on Friday.
Five countries will be urged to recognize Kosovo
The draft was prepared by the EP Rapporteur for Kosovo, Viola von Cramon-Taubadel in the Foreign Policy Committee.
According to the document, the invitation is not new, because the European Parliament is still the only EU institution that treats Kosovo as a state and asks member states to recognize Kosovo's citizenship, Radio Free Europe in Albanian reports.
